Read the passage in context

Choose an available Bible language and edition, then find a book, chapter, and verse. Read the surrounding passage as well as the words that stand out to you. Larger text and reading controls help you settle into the text at your own pace.

Connected editions vary by language. Some open on an official external reading site. Where a reference translation is offered, it is labelled separately from a published Bible edition.

Reflect with others on the same Scripture

Global Quiet Time, or QT, brings readers to a shared passage for each published day. Its weekly schedule lets you see the reading ahead and return to an earlier date. Shared dates follow Korea Standard Time so readers in different places can find the same passage.

After reading, consider what the passage reveals about God, how it points you toward Christ, and how you might respond in prayer and daily life. You can also read the reflections that others have shared.

Keep the gospel at the centre

Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. Salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in him. Bible reading is an opportunity to know God and grow in that grace; it is not a way to earn his love.

If you are new to faith, the introductory course explores God, the Bible, human sin and God’s love, and salvation through Jesus Christ. Lessons and quizzes are free to read and use.
